I was really buying into the hype.  Thought he was going to breakout this year with ben gordan goon, but he has been absolutely trash.  I know I know...its only been a week.  But the guy is shooting 10% FG.  I'm in a fairly deep league (14teams/11players).  FA isnt that great but theres Robin Lopez sitting there.  And I know Robin Lopez might be fools gold because of ADavis injury, but FA is getting snatched up fast.  If you were me, would you straight up drop stuckey for lopez?  Value wise, would you do it?  I know they totally offer different stats but I'm in a trade happy league where value can be traded for value later on.  And I'm just not sure if stuckey is even tradable at this point.

Actually 4.5% FG so far... But I'll still keep him but put him on bench, coz I really don't know who can replace him or eat his time in Pistons.

Stuckey has been having migraine headaches.

He is projected at 49 this week with my league scoring system.  Would I be crazy to play him.  I have Jordan crawford starting too, with Evan Turner and Rip Hamilton on the bench.  Which 2 of those 4 should I play.

Stuckey's 1-23 to start the season, and is dealing with migraine issues right now, I don't think there's any way you should start him until you see some kind of production out of him.  I'm also not a fan of Jordan Crawford this week, even though Beal has been struggling, he'll probably have a good enough game at some point this week that will mute Crawford's production a bit, and Crawford's a FG% killer already, so to go with him and Stuckey would cripple the category before you even get to day 2.  That said, I don't like Turner or Hamilton much either, but I do like them both more than the other two options.  At least they're starting and haven't sh*t the bed yet so far.  I'd go with them.

This guy needs his projections adjusted. Even when I am looking at projections over just the next week he is showing up at the top of my list to select. I know that would be a dumb risky move, but it makes me wonder what other projections are misleading if this one is still sitting there unchanged.

Someone in my league dropped stuckey, worth a waiver wire on him?

His current projections are way too high.  I think a major adjustment down is in order until he's healthier and playing up to vintage Stuckey form.  He singled-handedly tanked my FG% last week.

Maybe I'm in your league (F.W.), because I'm dropping him whenever possible (like for Vasquez).

Won't frop him for a stop-gap (yet).

WTF???

Rodney Stuckey has been dealing with an ear infection, according to teammate Corey Maggette, not migraines as previously reported.

The ear infection may be causing him migraine-like pain, but more importantly it could be messing with his balance, which would help account for his 1-of-23 shooting this season. The Pistons have vowed to get him involved in the offense, but fantasy owners should keep him benched until we've seen marked improvement.

Damn im getting creamed 8-1 and need as many stats as possible.going to keep gambling and hope for an all around game. If he fails to produce again...how much longer before we drop?

If for some reason Stuckey gets sidelined for an extended period of time or he gets demoted into a bench role, which piston players do you think will benefit the most? Who are candidates to start you think?

My guess would be Will Bynum would start if Stucky was injured or benched.

With on that. The wrongness of backing Stuckey makes me question all projections. Dude just isn't good.

He's been adjusted down even further now. This one has been puzzling after all those positive off-season reports, mostly coming from Frank, and now they are trading barbs about his role in the offense. But if it really was those migraines working against his getting in rhythm, then maybe career-average shooting isn't that far off. We're five games into the season, after all. I can't see any of the team's reserves really being in a position to push him for minutes, so he'll most certainly get a chance to work through this.

Stuckey is shooting 17 percent from the field. Happenstance would dictate that he is at rock bottom. For instance he went 2 for 6 last game and it raised his average. When 33 percent is the bar it is set too low. No matter how awful the depth is in Detroit I don't believe his leash is as long as others. His minutes are safe however for now.

Stuckey sighting? Tonight I saw him running with the 'twos'. I still need to see more, but tonight was definitely encouraging to see. I am still on the edge ready to drop this guy, but I'm going to hold just a lil bit longer. ill

with that migraine headache story I would say his diet has to be holding him back. Maybe a food allergy he doesnt know he has. Probably just overally unhealthy lifestyle. Just my guess though

Well that's just perfect... The very day I drop him for Andre Miller (Low ceiling, more consistent production), the dude finally goes all crazy, against OKC of all teams.

Maybe I can get him back using my waiver, hawhawhaw...... !_!

Apparently Stuckey will be coming off the bench tonight. Kyle Singler will start at SG. Will this be a permanent move? How will tihs affect Stuckey's numbers?

Assuming he's in a 6th man role leading the second unit I'm thinking it might not be a bad thing for his numbers.  Apparently the suggestion came from Stuckey himself so it doesn't sound like the coach is fed up with him or anything.

avatarmbuser (4325 posts)  11/16/2012 1:01 PM

It's not out of the realm of possibility that it actually helps his numbers. He posted nearly identical splits as a starter/reserve last season, despite a difference of 8 minutes played: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4293/splits?year=2011&type=Fielding

Stuckey says he's able to find his offense easier with the second unit and that's why he went to L.Frank about the change.

singler looks to be a decent look in h2h 9-cat, 12 team, 10 player, since stuckey has been bad?

Singler is pretty solid but if you have to drop stuckey for him then i say no. Stuckey didnt start but he logged 30 mins... only person with moore last game was prince. Amd stuckeys reb ast numbers should still be better either way. Just taking a small but in fg%

Yeah, looks like he's bumped Will Bynum out of the rotation and is handling all the backup PG minutes. This new role does seem to suit him well.

Stuckey has been a major disappointment all year, finally dropped him and tonight he is having his best game of the season.

Of course he is!
