Looks like he's putting up decent stats for a backup PG. With news that Jameer Nelson is hurting, what do you think of him as a potential pickup? 0% Agree (0 votes) |

just dropped ridnour for him....doesn't seem like nelson will be playing 35mpg any time soon especially having a strained hamstring and a sore ankle.... plus with harrington turk out too... theres plenty shots to be spread around. going to be moore reddick and aflalo eating up all the minutes at the pg/sg spot. unless ishmael smith goes bonkers.

wow snart, i also dropped ridnour for him. What kind of production should we be expecting without Nelson in the lineup?
0% Agree (0 votes) |
Seems like a decent option to take a flyer on, especially while Nelson is out. It of course depends on who you have to drop to get him. I dropped Landry Fields for him, which made it an easy decision.
For someone in an 8 or 10 team league who is dropping someone of value, you might consider holding off a while.

Would you guys drop Dorrell Wright for Moore? I need some PG stats and I am thinking I can find Dorrell output on the WW at any time. Then again, these boards he has been producing have been pretty sweet. His FG% is not helping me at all though.

Would you drop Jameer for Moore? This is an end of the bench type player for me so I'm thinking the upside of Moore might make the move worth it

Tough call but i agree witb zero. It depends on who u drop. I say wait for one or two more games since most people don't know who he is. Dorrel should be doing a lot better once bynum is in the lineup 100% Agree (1 vote) |
The most interesting thing with Moore is that in the first game of the year, he still got over 24 minutes despite Jameer's 35. Keep in mind Nelson and Afflalo's also have a propensity to miss a game so Moore could make for a serviceable 3rd PG on many a team.

Agree redhopeful, The Magic are rebuilding, Jameer & Afflalo have had a few injuries in past years. I needed a 3rd PG because Jarret Jack has been up and down, hoping Moore is someone who will consistantly get around 30mins per he puts up some decent numbers.

I ended up dropping Jae Crowder for him this afternoon and paid off nicely tonight. Will fit well behind CP3 and George Hill on my team.

Nelson, Afflalo, Redick, Moore, and only 96 minutes to go around when all four are healthy. I'm not sure Nelson is headed for a demotion just yet.

Think afflalo and Redick will see sometime in sf as well? It's Only harkless there now w Turk out and think Moore could see sometime in sg?

As a Magic fan here in Orlando, I am 99.9% sure that Moore will not usurp Jameer as the starter when he gets back. Jameer is highly regarded by Vaughn as their "leader", though I wouldn't be surprised if Moore ends up getting more minutes with Jameer's lingering injuries and Moore's ability to play the 2.
Moore at best will be the 3rd guard in the rotation, spelling Jameer and JJ (who comes into the game fairly early and bumps up Afflalo to the 3). Afflalo is essentially the backup SF and JJ does get bumped up to the 3 at times with Moore at the 2. Also, Ish Smith has shown nothing to challenge for the backup PG spot.

Agree with odin, Buse, you should adjust to the fact Afflalo will see time at SF while Hedo is out.

Sure, I did that. But a few more minutes over the next month or so with everyone else healthy just isn't getting me too fired up in the context of "a bigger role moving forward."

Before Jameer went down he played 25 mins and was productive, think he could get around 25-28 mark, ORL also has to build up their young talent right?

The Magic know that this year will be about finding guys who can play into the future, and finding which positions they will need to use those 3 first round picks on. Their rotations are not set in stone, except that Afflalo Nelson and Davis will all get good minutes (all though I could see Davis' dropping a bit as the season progresses). Moore is 6-4 and plays bigger than his size, a fairly good ball handler with above average vision, can play great defense and is a great 3 point shooter. He played 25 minutes even when Jameer JJ and Afflalo all played 30+ in the 1st game. Afflalo is a strong enough defender that he can play sf. The Magic at some point will reazlie that Nelson-Moore-Afflalo gives them their most athleticism, best shooters, and best defenders on the court at once. JJ will still come off the bench obviously. For the next month I don't imagine Moore playing less than 25 mintues a night, and by the time Hedo comes back the team may already be trying to deal him to free up more minutes for the younger players (not that the Magic are a tragically awful team, tonight aside, but they aren't going to be making a splash this year).

The amount of teams that will be interested in trading for Hedo at $11.8M is not going to increase from zero. He's only partially guaranteed next season at $6M, so maybe in the off-season. Perhaps they do simply limit his role when he does return, but that might not happen either if they keep hanging around 70 ppg.
0% Agree (0 votes) |
Do you guys think Moore's worth dropping an underperforming starter for? Wrestling over whether to drop Stuckey or not, also love me some Chandler Parsons but starting to question if I'm overvaluing him.
Moore's shooting stats look like they'll be pretty nice relative to 3PM, and seems like he'll pick up a few dimes even when Jameer's back.

I'd say no and no to dropping Stuckey or Parsons for him. Again, I just don't see how he maintains significant enough minutes once everyone healthy.
