Should we be worried that he might turn into a Carlos Delfino and miss a ton of games with this "minor" concussion? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Sure it is a possibility. But you absolutely have to hold and see how it plays out.

Highly highly doubt it. Supposedly Davis was itching to get back into the game and Monty's has reportedly not been happy with the league's concussion policy as he claims AD is alright.

New Orleans Hornets announced before Tuesday night's game against the New York Knicks that rookie forward Anthony Davis is sidelined with a stress reaction in his left ankle. He likely will miss Wednesday night's game against the Indiana Pacers although Coach Monty Williams said Davis is listed as day to day. Davis' stress reaction is caused by a tenderness in the bone of his ankle. If he continues to play with a stress reaction, it could lead to him having a more serious stress fracture injury

This doesn't sound like something that will go away particularly quickly. I'm not saying that it's dire, but don't be surprised if he's kept out more than two games.

On a selfish note I seem to be facing AD in 3 leagues this week including BOSF. Since I don't own the guy, I do wish Bogut would get well though.

Would Davis owners give hm up for Gortat? Wanted to post this here to get a more informed answer than the peeps that respond to trade props but dont own either player.

I don't own either player. but with the news that AD has "soft" bones in his ankle I would rather own Gortat for sure. I seem to recall this is the exact same diagnosis path that Oden took. Stress reaction led to microfracture surgery. I am not a doctor though.

From Rotowire:
"Davis has a stress reaction in his left ankle, the Times-Picayune reports.
Recommendation: The Hornets are still calling him day-to-day, but if he continues to play on it the injury could develop into a more serious stress fracture. Davis isn't expected to play against the Pacers Wednesday. Ryan Anderson started Tuesday against the Knicks and will start for as long as Davis is on the shelf.

I have him on 3 of 4 teams. Yikes. 0% Agree (0 votes) |

Yeah, you can see that I posted that two days ago (above). Not something to be taken lightly, at all.

I missed your post 2 days ago. By doing so, I saved myself two days of mild depression.

I have him out of my line-up. Given my luck this yeatr so far, that means he will probably play, and get a triple double. However, that's just a hunch. Does anyone have any ino. on whether he will play tonight? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I am faceing him in 3 leagues so I hope not. U can be assured if he does play his minutes will be under 20. if I owned him and had a healthy other option i would bench AD. New Orleans needs better doctors.

For thoese interested, from Rotoworld:
"Anthony Davis (ankle) is listed as 'doubtful' for Friday's game vs. the Suns.
Davis was spotted in a walking boot as recently as Wednesday, and it's no surprise that the Hornets are being extra cautious with their franchise player. Lance Thomas and Jason Smith both figure to pick up extra minutes if Davis sits again."

Yeah, his gaining C-eligibility is not going to hurt your chances

Hey, he still needs to be given C-eligibility in Yahoo! What I mean is he's already C-eligible in Yahoo! , but this hasn't been reflected in Basketball Monster yet.
