I can't believe I'm considering these two but they are currently producing... Who would you pick for short term help?

Like Carter fine in short term while Marion and Dirk are out.  Long term though he's unlikely to be anything special.

Not as convinced that Brewer is for real, he's shooting unexpectedly well but i want to see it continue for a bit longer to prove it's not just a hot streak.

I would add Carter for the same reason above. You won't see 10 3PM in a span of three games from Brewer very often.
