I know, I know, he's still Metta World Peace. But he's also locked into 32+ minutes in what should now be a potent, up-tempo offense. Am I crazy to think there's a chunk of upside here or will his % still be too much of a drag on his counting stats to be useful in roto?

Did something crazy today. Dropped amare in a money h2h league for metta world peace !!! Hehehe have a pretty good feeling he'll benefit a lot on the open offense of d'antoni. I figured if i had to wait 6 more weeks (or more) for amare, i might not make our playoffs. Amare was ranked 90 last year so with nyk going small ball dont think theres much upside anyway (see tyson chandler). 0% Agree (0 votes) |

don't think there is much upside but could well be a solid UTL guy with the minutes he's getting (and who's going to replace him right?) I picked him up as cover for the injured Leonard today.

If he can stay at 35%+ 3PM then the 3PM+STL will really come in handy. That's going to be where he's getting a lot of shots playing off pick&rolls, and D'Antoni will have little choice but to pull him if he's bricking. We also need to see exactly how much MikeD will try to get Jamison/Meeks involved even if Artest plays well.

Post game interview has D'Antoni giving Metta the green light to shoot 10 3s with the goal of making 4. Expects him to produce 17-20pts per game in this offense. Factoring his defensive prowess, production on the upswing in this system?

That's rhetorical, right?

Still trust him about as far as I could throw Shaq but I've now put him into my starting lineup. Held a small ceremony for the bravery of my fg% - it feels like a kamikaze pilot going into battle.

MWP worth the add... Wilson Chandler was a fantasy star whit D'Antoni's offense, Why not MWP? 15 pts, 5 rbs, 2.3 3pts, 1.3 st, 1.5 To... 40 and 68 %. I

Metta is out indefinitely, who would most benefit from this? Jamison?

Earl Clark seems like a better fit.

Yes, Clark is more suited to play SF than Jamison, but this opening up 38 mpg in the rotation means there is a bit to spread around to a number of players.

@sam_amick
Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni says odds of Metta World Peace playing tomorrow night are "90, 80" percent.
