We are first yr keeper league H2H. keep 4 every year. Do you guys like trading Faried right now since he's doing great? I expect him to continue those boards but his FT is going to stay bad. Do you think using him and trying to get say Horford, Millsap, Iguodala would be good?

Horford isn't so hot right now so if i'm lucky enough i might be able to just do the trade straight up?

I offered another team Teague and Faried for Aldrige

Yes.  He has high perceived value at the moment, but not true high value.  Look at how he is doing right now:

Rank Value $ Name Team g MinC min/g pts/g 3/g reb/g ast/g stl/g blk/g fg% fga/g ft% fta/g to/g ptsV 3V rebV astV stlV blkV fg%V ft%V toV
88 -0.09 $11 Current Season DEN 9 -1.76 30.3 14.1 0.0 11.8 0.4 0.9 1.1 0.541 10.9 0.512 4.6 1.3 0.14 -1.08 2.24 -1.08 -0.35 0.52 1.18 -2.91 0.54

He is an average scorer, great rebounder, average/below average blocker for a big, good FG% shooter, and terrible FT% shooter.  When he goes off for his 16 point 16 rebound nights, everyone ignores that he maybe got 1 block, shot like #$%! from the FT line, and got no other valuable stats.

I highly doubt you could get a Horford, Milsap, or Iggy for him, that'd be highway robbery.  However he provides really good value (2nd-3rd round) to a punt FT% team so I would try and float some offers to whoever owns Dwight Howard and see if you can get a 3rd-4th rounder out of him.

In a league where you do keep 4, you definitely want to try and trade up and get the best possible 4 keepers.  Kyrie, Al, George & Lawson are a great set of 4 keepers, so adding Aldridge doesn't really help that much long-term since you can only keep 4 of them (unless of course Lawson keeps playing like crap and plays himself out of top-48 consideration).

That seems a little harsh.  His percentages have been down in the early going this year, but last year he shot .586/.665 instead of the .547/.532 he's got through 10 games this year.  If those pick up a bit, he should give top 50 value without a problem.  He was 88th last year in only 22.5 minutes per game, and that number is going to be more like 31-32 this year.  I wouldn't think of giving Horford or Millsap for him, and he's not worth Iguodala, either, but he's a pretty solid player with a more well-rounded line than you make it seem.
