Amir Johnson and Jason Maxiell are two guys Im looking at right now for more rebounds.  They are both pretty even but not sure who has more upside.  I expect andre Drummond to get more playing time which would diminsh Maxiell value and Valanciunas will eventualy pick up his production which will eat into Johnson minutes.  Basically who has better short term value?

Amir has that stl+blk upside that Maxiell can't match, and I'd be more concerned about the Drummond factor than the Valanciunas factor when comparing the two.

I've selected Amir (few days ago):

1. I like his game)

2. Jerebko, Drummond are behind Maxiell

3. Bargniani is injury prone

4. Amir has better 82games.com rating

But the Pistons have 4x4 upcoming weeks.

I think both players have no upside without injuries and Maxiell is better in short term.

Do you think Jonas will go back to the bench and Amir will start anytime soon?

I see no chances it will happen. Amir has his role in the NBA - 8+6+1+1+7fouls. I was inaccurate post ago I like his energy and hairstyle but he has almost no game only hustle. Toronto needs to develop more gifted player (Val) of course.

I'am looking to replace Amir if he continues to be so inconsistent like he is for now. But league is deep, after big trade I have almost no options.

it would take ALOT for jonas to go to the bench. that is there future. Amir should have a rollar coaster named after him. Up and down, up and down.

Personally i would go with maxiell. The pistons have played better since they increased his PT (and brought stucky off bench)
