League with $65,000,000 hard salary cap. Below are players with '12-'13 salary cap hit. Need to choose 3 keepers before the draft... end of last season heading into the playoffs I traded Kevin Love, (hurt) Kyle Lowry and 2 fillers for Jeremy Lin, Gallinari, Monta Ellis, Drew Gooden. That decision is haunting me but I really wanted to make a playoff push (they all got hurt/sucked anyway). It's a H2H league.
I'm leaning towards Kawhi Leonard, Javale McGee, and Jeremy Lin. Not a single great choice in there but I think those are defensible. Does anyone want to argue for Tristan Thompson or Monta Ellis? I love Chris Paul but he's just too expensive... Chris Paul, Jeremy Lin and Kawhi Leonard could be pretty efficient but wipe out 28 million of my salary cap on a 12 player team.
Your thoughts much appreciated!

I would go Kawhi, Tristan Thompson and CP3. Costs u 23 million and lets face it CP3 is worth it. no way would I do Lin and CP3.

Thats a fair enough salary for CP3. I suggest you keep him.
Don't like McGee for 10M at all. I'd actually lean towards your Paul/Lin/Leonard idea. Lin's a little pricey for my liking but there aren't that many value picks on offer. Those 3 are a nice small ball platform.

Agreed with dasein's choices and that Lin is a bit pricey but makes the most sense. Paul/Lin/Leonard

Sweet! Thanks guys. Great to hear that people do think CP3 is worth it. I was thinking it was kind of borderline, but actually it'd be no question if he was just $3,000,000 less. And $3,000,000 of cap space in looking for bench players is not very valuable - the difference between Tristan and Drew Gooden, or between Drew Gooden and Javale McGee.
Jeremy Lin is definitely pricey but there's great upside potential, and worst case scenario, with all the PT he's going to get, he won't be that bad.
