Just dropped Mark Morris for Dray Blatche. I've seen this movie where BroLo hurts his foot before, I hated the ending (he derailed me last season). Mark Morris is in a clear timeshare with Scola and Phoenix is a mess. At one time Blatche was a monster line waiting to heppen, and I know he's a headcase, but playing for the Wiz has caused more than one player to go insane (McGee, Arenas, etc.). He's a very high upside pick who has a shot at cracking the starting lignup. Crazier things have happened.

I pick him up in every possible league, that is "upside player/situation" for my view (when player is healthy and bc of some other player injury can go on a tear).

Anthony Davis owners also hate the words "conservative approach". Get Blatche now!
From Rotoworld: Avery Johnson confirmed that the Nets will take a "conservative" approach to Brook Lopez's rehab from a sprained foot, and said it would take a "miracle" for Brook to practice on Monday. Lopez was still noticeably limping on Saturday and his owners should bench him until he makes it through a practice. "He'll have to practice at some point before I can feel confident about putting him on the floor," said Johnson. "So until that happens, he's not going to play." Dec 2 - 10:54 AM

Wild speculation based on past Brolo history: Brolo is out til ASB. Blatche is the man now.

It looks like Blatche is headed for a starting gig: http://www.netsdaily.com/2012/12/24/3801084/brooklyn-nets-to-team-brook-lopez-and-andray-blatche

Blatche has failed an awful lot to be given all this love. he will have to show me something before I get on board. Besides Avery Johnson can change his mind again again at any time

top 75 value over the last month, so you can't be disappointed with that from a WW pickup, and any rumors that he'll play more minutes is fine with me.

This small lineup puts a damper on things, but Blatche is a lock to lead the team in bench minutes while it sticks. But 20-22 minutes isn't as helpful is 24-26.

Carlesimo says he wants to play Blatche more next to BroLo, and Humphries is almost completely out of the rotation. Blatche got 28 minutes last night, and may be a sneaky good guy to own over the next few weeks.
Reggie Evans is still probably going to have to play 25 minutes at the very least for rebounding purposes, but if Blatche can get his 16-18 minutes behind Lopez, and add another 10-12 at PF, he has the fantasy friendly game to be a nice pickup.

Carlesimo thought outside the box by putting Lopez and Blatche on the court side-by-side -- something NetsDaily commenters (you're welcome, bros and gals) have been asking for, well, for quite some time now. The result? Four straight possessions, four straight baskets. Maybe we'll see this more often? Maybe? Offensively, they were strong. On defense, though, they were, well, struggling. So, you have to imagine that Carlesimo will make that point when he's asked about whether or not Blatche and Lopez will play alongside each other going forward.
From there, the Hornets went on a bit of a run, tying the ballgame up at 78-78, before Blatche tipped in a offensive rebound just before the buzzer. At the start of the fourth, we had a ballgame on our hands.
Carlesimo went back to the Blatche and Lopez in the middle, which resulted in a 14-6 run to start the quarter. From there it was just a matter of pushing back each time the Hornets tried to make a game of it. For the Nets, they continued to respond, pulling away and winning their fourth in their last five, 108-98. Bottom line: the two played together for a little more than 13 minutes, were +4. Prior to the Hornets, Lopez and Blatche had played a total of 60 minutes together.
Final note: no Reggie Evans in the fourth quarter. So, there's that.

Is Andray Blatche-Brook Lopez the best PF-C combo the Nets have?
