"Danny Granger, the team’s leading scorer the past five seasons, will be limited some at the start of training camp after an issue with his left knee, which happened while working out in Los Angeles late in the summer, caused him to get an injection in it.  Granger’s at the fieldhouse working out with the rest of his teammates daily, but the Pacers, who don’t believe it’s a major issue, plan to take it easy with him early on and allow him to use the preseason to work on his conditioning."

This only reinforces not taking Granger until he falls to you much later than his Y! rank (25). Something to keep an eye on in any case.

Yeah, 25 is too high, he wasn't top 25 last year and there is a clear trend in his stats over the last few yeaers, and it isn't a good one.  I woudn't want to pick him up before pick 40 at the earliest.

Sounds like he'll probaby be fine by opening night, but if he ever does miss time, the most obvious benefactors are Paul George and Gerald Green.

A bit more detail on his injury, which appears to date back to the playoffs:

"I had an injury in my tendon or something that I flared up in the offseason working out. They put PRP (platelet rich plasma) in it (at the end of the summer), which is a way to help it heal better. I actually (injured my knee) toward the end of the Miami series. It was fine, but then I started training this summer and it got irritated, so we just slowed it down."

I'm not sold Granger will play the entire season after this quote “(The knee) is testing me." (Cont)
More Granger: "They’re telling me the pain can’t do anything else to my knee. I’m going to have to play through the pain, but it hurts.”

Stay away, peeps, and target Paul George and Gerald Green.
