With Price out and Wall still floating in the twilight zone, will Crawford become a hot commodity? If so, does he retain value upon the former's return, or does Price have a stranglehold on that particular position until (if?) JW recovers?
Really bemused, because I dropped Crawford on Saturday morning to pick up Ersan, which itself wasn't the wisest decision given his minutes will come at the potential expense of Sanders, another recent add to my team. This is my first year playing fantasy with the eye of the tiger, and my add/drop history is schizophrenic--not a good thing given our league caps them at 40. Really wish I would have signed up to BBM prior to the draft. The podcasts may also have saved me from my bizarre punt FG/Reb (but not blocks!) strategy, which is fun but clinically insane.
Edit: for posterity, I should probably just go ahead and concede having already dropped Ersan and picking back up Crawford. My team is third in our division, so I need impact over upside at this point. Love fantasy bball; hate sucking at anything so much.

Crawford will have plenty of time to prove himself at PG over the next few weeks, and there will be little reason for the Wiz to turn back to Price if he's at least somewhat successful.

Good deal, thanks for the input. Any negative reaction would have sent me into paroxysms of anxiety that inevitably would have ended with me one step closer to the 40-add cap and some spunky euro.

Hah, well, I would rather have Ersan when it comes down to it, But Crawford will get plenty of short-term run.

You're a monster. This and his recent struggles have totally undermined any confidence I had in the decision, and Ersan has since been scooped up. Not a good sign when a guard struggles against Duhon and Chalmers consecutively.

If Wall ever gets back will Crawford have value as a SG? Will he still be starting?

Crawford was more useful in a reserve role - at least prior to tonight - because his FG% has tanked and his TO have skyrocketed as a starter. I don't believe he'd start ahead of Beal, but that of course would be up to Wittman.

but hell have value in a 6th man role or more of a poison player as usual?

His expectations aren't drastically different based on his role. Counting stats with terrible FG% and TO.

Is he really getting dirty down low, or are these rebounding numbers a fluke? Haven't been able to watch him play live. 0% Agree (0 votes) |

He's never been too bad of a rebounder for a guard. 3.8 per-36 career, up to 5.0 this season.

How much do you predict his numbers to drop with John Wall and AJ Price back in the lineup?
Because instead of waiting until he does come back from injury and finding out the hard way; if he's expected to take a nosedive, it would be better to anticipate it now so I can trade him now. Rather than wait until his value has sunk to an all-time low where he becomes untradeable. What's the coach saying? How's the rotation going to look? Of course these are all guesses and speculation, but I'd like to know anybody's best guess based on the information they have.
The main thing is, I have a decision on whether to keep or trade lets say an Andre Miller or Kawhi Leonard instead of him. If Crawford maintains close to the numbers he has currently (14 to 15ppg, 4 to 5 assists per game, then he might be worth holding onto instead of those two). But, if he drops as low as 10-12ppg, and only 3 assists, I might be better having Andre Miller's 6 assists per game.

I think I may be too late. His value has totally sunk. I mean it's only two games back since his injury - however, it does seem like things have changed since John Wall has come back, and it looks like Jordan Crawford is gonna have a diminished role going forward.
