I've basically blown off Amare in all mock drafts that I've done so far aside from one where I got him in the 6th rd because I'd rather pass on him for other if he's just going to be a 17 & 7 guy with low block totals and decreasing percentages. Most projections that I've seen have him at around 17-18pts/7-8reb/1blk.
However, ESPN has him at around 23.5pts/8.2reb/1.2blk, that's 1st/2nd rd production. People have been taking him a little too early for my taste, mid 4th to early 5th, but I've been thinking that he should at least produce at a 5th rd value and if he puts up the ESPN projected numbers, that is a guy that can basically win you your league. Just wanted to peoples thoughts on this matter as I feel that this is an intriguing case. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
