Shocker. Billups has yet to resume basketball activities, won't be ready for the regular season, and has no firm timetable for a return.

I've had Billups on my do no draft list from the outset, and this update will call for an adjustment of already pessimistic projections. He's 36 and was posting poor per-game production before he reptured his Achilles. A bit more minutes security for Jamal Crawford, as well.

I heard within the last few days that his injury is totally fine and he's just waiting to get back into game shape and in sync with what the team is doing.  He was targeting early December.... seems like a lot of time to just get back "in sync" - with Jamal Crawford tearing it up is Billups just a lost cause?  Yahoo shows him as owned in around 25% of leagues.  I was thinking of grabbing him but now I'm having second thoughts.

Will he start when he returns?

I can't imagine that Willie Green will keep starting once Billups is active. But my pessimistic outlook has not changed, and Crawford's success only makes it less likely that he'll be in a position to be a real factor.

Guard Chauncey Billups continues to scrimmage at full speed, and his progress has Butler impressed. "He looks good to me," Butler said. "We'll see him out there soon." The Clippers have still not set a timetable for Billups' return, but signs are pointing to it being sooner than later. Billups will become the Clippers' starting shooting guard once he returns, teaming with Chris Paul.

Still pretty pessimistic on him? Crawford's efficiency is coming back to earth a bit and Chauncey put up some useful numbers in points, 3ptm, and FT% last year. On the flip side, FG% was terrible of course last year and doesn't figure to be a lot better this year. And he's quite old.

Clippers guard Chauncey Billups will make his season debut tonight against Minnesota, a source tells Y! Sports. Billups will start at SG.

What is this, the year of the early returns?  Love, Nene, Billups..  I'm picking up Bogut, Rose, Bynum, and Rubio, in every league!

I am punting asissts in a league, and had Jason Kidd as my point guard, backed by Pargo.  I dropped Pargo for Billups.  I thnk Billups is worth a flyer.

Billups > Pargo, that's not really a question.

Yay Cap being optimistic on Bynum and Bogut, Wall, Stoudemire. Billups was available in 2 leagues out of 6 and I cut DGreen and DGibson for him.

Would not have cut Danny Green for Billups personally.

A week after making a surprise return to the starting lineup, Chauncey Billups is back on the bench. Billups is suffering from peroneal tendinitis in his left foot. The injury is not related to his Achilles' tendon, which he ruptured last February. The Clippers and Coach Vinny Del Negro said there's no timetable for Billups' return, though the injury will probably keep him out for a couple of weeks.

This is quite unfortunate.  I really like Billups as a player, and it's sad to see his career wind down like this.  I hope he can make a full recovery and play a few more years as a reserve at least, he really was playing well before last year's injury.

Chauncey Billups got therapy Wednesday for what the Los Angeles Clippers said is peroneal tendinitis in his left foot. Billups said there is no timetable for his return to playing again. "I'm not really practicing on the court yet," Billups said. "When I get to do that, then we can assess that." Billups said the team doctors and Clippers trainer Jasen Powell have recommended rest for now. "I'm just trying to let the inflammation go down," Billups said.

14-team H2H (3% instead of TO).

Currently in 1st place by 5.5

So it seems theres a chance he could be returning "soon". Does he have anything left in the tank? Or is he best left on the WW? I have Luke Ridnour as my most expendable player.

Meh, you've seen our projections, right? My guess is there is a better add available.
