My general strategy in the mock drafts I've done lately is to take some combination of guards/bigs in the first 2-3 rounds. By late round 3-early round 4, at least two (and many times even all 3) of these wings have been on the board. All are dynamic wings with plenty of upside. George has the highest rating on the BBM projections, but Batum and Iguodala are due for some massive bumps too. Who would you take and why? I've been taking George consistently, but I don't really have an explanation for why.

When you've got multiple players who you rank as about equivalent as you do in this case, my fall back has always been who plays the most games during the default H2H playoffs weeks.  In this case its George 10, Batum 10, Iggy 9.

Also of note, according to BBM their projected ranks are George 24, Batum 26 and Iggy 36.  Which is exactly the opposite of what they actually ranked last year Paul 40, Batum 37, and Iggy 32.

It would help a little bit to know who you're usually getting in the prior rounds, but in a vaccum I'd probably go back and forth between Iguodala and Batum.

Batum's ability to get you 2 3's/1 stl/1 blk can be huge, but if you need help in asts and rebs I'd side with Iguodala.

My 1st pick depends on my draft spot. KD-Lebron-Paul-Love-Westbrook for 1-4, if picking from 8-12 I either get Smith, Jefferson, or Aldridge. 2nd/3rd round I choose a big (usually Pau or Horford) and a guard (Lowry or Curry).

i would go with iggy , then batum and george.  i had a pleasure to own batum last year, had a couple of mosnter games and his ability to rack up the steals and blocks is a plus for a swingman.

i'm high on iggy this year because of the system he's in right now and he's no slouch on the defensive side and he has now the ability to hit the 3 ball.

I see George and Batum as a coin toss. Projected to have similar value and equally as likely to really break out. A bit like LeBron/Durant, I'd take either and be happy.

I actually see Iggy as 3rd here. I am high on him this year too, but I think it's gotten to the point where he is now getting a little overated in these parts. For all the good he'll do, that FT% will still be a drag. (Of course if you're punting FTs then Iggy shoots to the top of the list.) He probably has a higher floor than the other two, but I think his ceiling is lower. I also think that Batum and George will be featured more on the offensive end than Iggy. Denver will have a more egalitarian offense.

I love all three but tend to end up with Iggy because of the assists. It's tough to predict in what order they'll go in any one particular draft, because each room is likely to treat this grouping differently but around the same area. Agree with dasein that Iggy's ADP is on the uptick. In any case, I'm most certainly interested in drafting any of the three players that I can.

I have a completely different reason for ranking these guys. My order is George, Iggy then Batum.

The reason I side with Paul George is due to his freakish athletic stature. He is the tallest SG in the league i'm pretty sure, with a big wingspan too which should lend itself to more blocks. Also has a good shot as evidenced my his percentages. He managed to rank 40 last season with 30 mins and a limited role where he didnt have plays run for him. Frank Vogel has already stated his desire to involve him more. Rise in minutes and role gives more upside to me than the others when george can get an extra steal on top of batum..

Batum has been in the year longer where improvement levels off a bit compared to the third year when lots of players improve dramatically

Iguodala aims to be on "attack mode" this season. So does that mean he'll be having less assist this time? Will it affect his value?

I'm expecting it to affect his value wonderfully thumbs up

AI2 is a well rounded contributor, but he best fits certain punt strategies.

So I would choose depending on what punt strategy I've settled on by the 2nd round.

Yeah, i think it definitely depends on the strategy.

On mock drafts, i often settle for Batum over Iggy just because of his rarity. I think you can always find guys in the mid to late drafts for the assists and the steals, but it is difficult to find block guys with decent ft% in the late draft. Batum gives me an assurance that I will not need to cram for a big guy in the last rounds and allows me to take the BPA instead.

I'll take Iguodala if I was playing on the safe side. Batum and George is definitely a toss-up, but there's more upside for Batum in this case especially with POR getting rid of GWall to showcase Batum more and help him realize his full potential. I'm a bit weary of IND not having a true point guard. I'm not sure if George Hill will be the ideal running mate for George, but you could make the same argument with Lillard being a score-first, pass second PG. I think either team needs playmakers to be successful, and Batum seems to have the slight advantage.

I had both Iggy and George last year in my keeper league and ended up keeping George. Why? Iggy's FT% was pretty rough on my squad and it looked like he actually got worse in the Olympics after having a career low season. I think Iggy will be great in Denver, but I could also see him being more aggressive and getting to the line more which is looking like a bad thing. If you're punting FT% then Iggy tops this list. His AST numbers are great at the SG and SF spots and I don't see that changing in Denver. Ultimately I went with upside in George who should get close to 2 3PM, over 1.5 STLS and could push for averaging a block a game (wishful thinking, but it could happen) on top of solid boards and fair scoring. Batum has a lot to prove this year and I'm not sure he's ready for the pressure, but he's still a solid choice no matter what I think.
