Most people I've spoken to are pretty high on Brandon Jennings this year - especially given his strong finish last season - and this is reflected is most projection lists, where Jennings is rated highly. Is anyone concerned that his numbers will dip with Monta Ellis around?

Perhaps having Monta in the mix will free up some space for Jennings and reduce his tendency to take poor percentage shots, but given that scoring is a big part of Jennings' game, I'm concerned his numbers (scoring and perhaps even assists) will dip more than people think.

I would love to hear any opinions on the matter!

Didn't Jennings numbers go up when Monta got traded to the Bucks? Think he will be ok.

Yeah, we saw Ellis/Jennings on the court enough last year to get some idea of how that would work, and it was fine for Jennings, if anything his stats just got better.  Ellis was the one who suffered a bit.

I guess it's possible to come up with a reason to expect something different this year than what actually happened the last part of last season, but I'm not sure why that would be personally.

Imagine Jennings' numbers last season without the February speed-bump [splits] yes

A related question, why is Ellis only projected at 18.3ppg? His last month was 19.8 and I can't see why it would regress after a full off season with his new team.

In his 21 games as a buck, Ellis avg'd 17.6 ppg.  18.3 sounds fair to me, but I can definitely imagine Ellis' ppg going into the 19's somewhere with the lack of offense on that team outside of Jennings.
