Wilson Chandler is an interesting player to me ....

Had some very nice years in NY, can score, had the one season with 1.4 blocks ... and then Denver happened, and then China happened, and now he's not starting with Gallo and Iggy in front of him.

So what are some projections people have for him?

I'd love if he does 12 pts, 1 3 pt and 1 block a game ... is this asking too much? According to his past stats, it shouldn't be, right? He's only 25.

I feel like this is a guy, if on the right team, would average 18 pts, 1.5 3's, 5 boards, 1 steal, and 1 blocks a game ... Right there with Nic Batum in the top 30

Am I crazy?

yes u are frikkin nuts. First Willy Chandler is on Denver for 4 more years at a very decent contract. Second Willy is not a starter this year. Willy is nothing more than a late round flyer. Besides with Iggy, Gallo, Ty, Javale, Faried as the starting 5 Willy will be lucky to get 20 minutes a game.

Disagree HF, between Iggy, Galinari, and Chandler there's plenty of minutes for all three to be relevant this year, and that's a pretty strong wing rotation.  Andre Miller is a full time back up now, so I don't see many situations where it's beneficial having Miller and Lawson on the floor at the same time.  Gallo's an injury risk, and Chandler gets backup minutes at SG too, so he should easily get 25+ MPG, and 12 points, 1 three, 1 steal is almost a lock.

Chandler should be a good late round pick as I believe he does just enough to help certain teams. Not to mention once again what happens to his value if there is an injury...

However, BBM projections for him is 30 MPG which is too high imo...

Agree that he could be a solid backup at the 2,3, and 4 and get 25+ minutes a night.  If he does 12 points, 4-5 rebs and 1 steal 1 block with good %'s are possible.  Thats a good late round sleeper.

I'm in a 12 team 8 cat league that uses ftm instead of ft%, I have the option of keeping Wilson Chandler with the 6th pick in the 12th Round (17 round draft and already keeping Faried in the 9th).

I'm leaning towards keeping him bc 25+ mins- 12 pt, 5 rebs w 1 stl and 1 blk is basically what I would expect w a 12th round pick anyway and the upside if one of Denver's wings get hurt and he moves into the starting lineup is there.

Just curious what you guys think.

David

Veteran forward Wilson Chandler is working diligently to get back to being Wilson Chandler. But just 6½ months since his hip surgery, with muscle soreness resurfacing, the Nuggets will likely keep Chandler out of game action until the end of the month.

Corey Brewer continues to see regular minutes, Danilo and Faried keep playing a lot, and Jordan Hamilton fills out the DEN rotation.

Any news as to when Wilson Chandler will make his return? Will he still see 25-28 minutes within the nuggets rotation?

He's targeting Jan 13: http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci_22278157/chandler-hopes-return-jan-13

That 28 number may be pushing it with that roster, but it could happen if Karl really tightens it to a 9-man rotation. Corey Brewer would have to be the one to give up the most minutes.

Are the Nuggets resting Chandler on back to backs or was their soreness in his hip?

The former.

No Wilson Chandler tonight (precautionary reasons)
