Thabo is projected relatively high at 79th, at least higher than many other Free Agents that keep getting picked up. In all (2) of my leagues he is/has been available all season. I know his stat line isn't particular sexy, he didn't even have has own Topic until this one. But I guess my question is: what is his value? is it to not be bad and 1.4 STL/game? His game log is mostly white, with little to no dark colors. Am I missing something here?

His value is that he can give you pretty decent diversified production across 3PTM, STL, BLK (around the average for players the top (# of teams * # of players per team), something (albeit not something great) in *both* REB and AST, and do all of that with tremendously low turnovers (with the offset being very low scoring).

Of the top 100 players, I show him as the worst at points (depending on exactly how you rank, may not be dead last, but close) and basically tied with Kousta Koufos for the best in TO. These two basically offset.

You have to think of TO as a category like any other. That +1.56 z-score to-date is bigger than D-Wade in scoring (+1.48), bigger than Kevin Martin in 3PM (+1.50), and bigger than Thad Young in FG% (+1.50).

Yeah, but would you drop an Ersan Ilyasova or a Matt Barnes to pick up Thabo Sefolosha just based on standard 9-cat value?

No, Barnes has been killing it and Ersan has much more upside.
