Need some help. Should I trade Pau Gasol for David west?

I know David West is in a bit of a slump right now, as well as there is a bit of concern of reduced production upon grangers return.

And of course Pau has his own set of issues that are well known at this point (plantar, tendonitis, trade canidate, MDA suck etc), but he also could prosper if he is traded.

Long story short there a number of intangibles and variables to account for with these two and i'm unsure of how to proceed and so I am seeking the input of the community.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.

Roto or h2h? How are you faring? Team needs? Would possible upside from Gasol turning around (in LA or otherwise) give you a better chance to win than knowing what you'll get from West?

its a 12 x 13, 9 Catagory H2H league.  My team is only doing decent, I am tied for the last playoff spot so middle of the pack. I am punting Assists.

Currently my team is in need of FG%, FT %, Stls, Reb.

If both players were to hit there current remaining projections then I think David west edges out pau gasol in improving my chances of winning largely because Pau Gasols Assists do me no good. However If Pau actually can turn it around (in LA or otherwise) i think he could surpass his current projections (shoot above 49%, and get closer to that double double) and if that is the case I would i feel i have a better chance of winning with pau. I am stumped as to who will be more consistent going forward.

Thanks in advanced.

Neither will be consistent, it's pretty safe to assume, although West's fga are reasonably stable. If the upside gamble on Pau makes sense for you specifically, then make the deal.

Thanks for the insight Matt, it is much appreciated.

If dwight ends up needing surgery again or at least ends up being out longer then a week then is it safe to say Gasol becomes the better option here over west?

Sadly for u Pau has all the upside over West. but pau also has a concussion and plenty of reasons to worry. I think u should shoot for a slightly higher target.  When pau plays again maybe u should see if the Zach Randolph owner is interested? Pau if he does return in 2 games should help ur trade effort.
