In their first game without Lou Williams, lost for the season with a torn knee ligament, the Hawks lost Devin Harris to a sprained left ankle in the second half of Saturday’s 98-93 loss to the Spurs at Philips Arena. Harris said he was unsure the extent of the injury but he walked with a severe limp after having his ankle X-rayed.

All indications are that Jameer Nelson’s sore left hip has improved and that he could play for the Orlando Magic when they host the Dallas Mavericks tonight. Nelson participated in the Magic’s shootaround this morning at Amway Center, coach Jacque Vaughn said, and Nelson told reporters that he’s doing better after he tweaked his hip late in Friday night’s loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. “I feel a lot better,” Nelson said. “I’m two days removed, a day and a half removed, from getting twisted up a little bit. So I’ll be smart about it and see how I feel tonight.” Nelson sat out practice Saturday, and he missed two games late last month because of the hip. Glen Davis, who has a sore lower back, also participated in the shootaround this morning, Vaughn said, and Davis has said he intends to play tonight.
