Dynasty Roto League.  5 Vet Keepers, 3 Prospects.  13 teams in the league.  Team in 1st/2nd place (commish of the league) in a tight league  just got a relatively absentee owner (who is in second to last place) to agree to trade him Kobe Bryant for DeMarcus Cousins straight up.  Only thing Demarcus has going for him in the comparison is age.  I would have been fine if it was DeMarcus and a draft pick for Kobe, but straight up seems a bit wrong to me.

Argument going on with trade committee.  Anybody got an opinion on this one?

in keeper leagues, the veto bar is even higher than usual. I don't have a problem with this. Remember that veto is there basically to stop cheating- however your league wants to define it. It's not supposed to be a referendum on whether the league as a whole would have done the trade.

I think the guy getting Kobe is getting hosed. Kobe is great for this year but future is all DMC. The great thing with keepers is the guy in last can always make a move for the future. DMC has had a Sacramento team shift hover over him all year. Plus he has a terrible coach who can't be fired. The future though is long and bright unlike Kobe who is all today.

Couldn't say it much better. Obviously the participants are what pique interest (commish, "absentee" owner), but Cousins is an excellent keeper option when it comes down to it. If you've got a problem with the commish or that owner specifically, then it's a different/deeper issue.

My 1st thought before opepning this: in a one year league... yeah maybe veto worthy.  In a keeper (or dynasy), no.

It's a dynasty, so no, not vetoable imo.

Think about it, if you were in last place in a dynasty league (so Kobe isn't helping you any this year, and it's probably going to be hard to turn it all the way around while Kobe is still at a high level), wouldn't you rather have Cousins?

Agree with HF, DMC owner is _____  trading  him for Kobe in Dynasty league settings. But cant go for veto bc Kobe is still putting the #s no matter he got good year or two left.
