I have Lin in a points league this year and am thinking of dealing him. His preseason play has been poor and there are rumors that his knee may not be 100%. I don't necessarily disagree with his projection on this site (17.9/4.1/7.5) but I'm just curious about the rationale behind the high scoring numbers... Im worried that his numbers may be closer to his March splits on NYK 14.6/3.3/6.3 after the league had seen his fantastic Feb and adjusted. I'd be ecstatic if he reaches his BBM projection though. Someone talk me out of dishing him! 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I don't believe his lower march numbers can be mostly attributed to teams figuring him out. he was dealing with knee problems that month; the same inury that forced him to miss the rest of the season. as a consequence he played about 5 less minutes per game during march.
i have little doubt that Lin can post beastly numbers if he can sustain a 34-35 minute average thru the season. the big question mark is that knee.........I don't have great information on it but I'm extremely curious how he is healing. if he is healthy I love where I can draft him.

Look at the team below:
Who do you think is going to score?

Carmelo Anthony played in April. That was your difference. As mentioned, this team is going to be completely reliant on Lin for numbers.

Who is going to score? Mostly the other team... :)

Buser how do you see the addition of Harden impacting Lin's prospects as a scorer?

The plus (better efficiency) and minus (less volume) cancels each other out. From an overall perspective, it's a wash.

Lin only had 4 steals not 5 on 12/31/2012 versus ATL. Source nba.com
