Is he going to the bench? will this affect his minutes and decrease his value

I really don't think so. He is versatile enough to get minutes at center, and both forward positions in certain line ups. I also wouldn't look too much into his preseason struggles either. New system, new players all take a little bit of time to get used to, not to mention shaking the offseason rust. I have all the faith in the world that he will finish a top 25-30 player this year.

It makes no sense to me for them to give him that contract and then not give him starter's minutes. I think it's just a product of the preseason.

Sure it does amsid. Hornets view Anthony Davis as a future center but as of right now, he's definitely not strong enough to handle banging so much in the paint. Consequently, his current best fit is PF. He'll see time at SF as Monty will have to get creative but no way am I seeing BBM's projection of 35 minutes for Anderson come true. Thinking he'll fall in the 28-30 range. Next year, however, I'm looking for that number to creep back up.
