FilterJosh Smith2/25/2015 10:24 AMjphanned 0% (0)His rates have already been adjusted. Only difference really is the minutes, which will come down once Dwight Howard returns from injury.
FilterJosh Smith2/25/2015 8:00 AM#36895 0% (0)Josh Smith has been playing great over the past month. Time for a bump? Or will he come back down to earth?
FilterJosh Smith2/5/2015 12:14 PMcastorius 0% (0)How high is the Rockets coaching staff on this guy? Do they favor him or do they really want Terrence Jones to get back to old form soon? Any word or idea on where the coaching staff sits in this PF position battle?
FilterJosh Smith2/2/2015 10:36 AMstevenomes 0% (0)smart tool seems to offer some good and bad suggestions depending on your situation. also it looks like bbm still has smoove at 23 mpg ROS and he's outside of top 200. I'd assume that's why smart tool wants u to drop him.
FilterJosh Smith2/2/2015 10:01 AMwaltmcgee 0% (0)smart tool is recommending dropping Smith for C.Zeller, but with D12 going down i see bump in minutes and stats... thoughts?

FilterJosh Smith1/30/2015 2:29 AMImadogg 100% (1)Been playing better in the last couple games, Dwight might be out a while, and he isn't shooting many FTs.. dammit I actually added Josh Smith in a couple leagues. God help me
FilterJosh Smith1/3/2015 2:56 AMcrucified77 0% (0)Promises aside, if he comes off the bench when T. Jones come back I'm not sure he'll be as terrible, just minutes restricted.
FilterJosh Smith1/3/2015 2:53 AMcrucified77 0% (0)In 5 games he seems like a bench or drop unless McHale puts him coming off the bench. The Rockets have their work cut out for them as he hasn't fit in so far in the starting 5 (source Rockets game coverage tonight).

FilterJosh Smith12/26/2014 6:30 PMjphanned 0% (0)McHale said he will "play it by ear," when asked who will start at PF. Rockets only have a few practices over the next couple weeks to work Smith in and get him familiar with their offense.

FilterJosh Smith12/25/2014 1:38 AMcrucified77 100% (1)Rockets said they will start him. Now it get's interesting to see how he plays and how many minutes. Not sure what to expect but I'm actually positive he'll be better than in DET.

FilterJosh Smith12/23/2014 3:04 AMjphanned 0% (0)Yeah right now we don't have a "Free Agent" team, which has been on the to-do list for some time. That's why his stats from this year aren't showing up now. When he's added to a roster shortly, then they'll be back up again.
FilterJosh Smith12/23/2014 1:02 AMrico381 0% (0)"Player stats" display looks broken: after being waived, his stats from this year aren't showing up at all.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 7:27 PMhsahardid 100% (2)Not good for terrence jones if josh smith does actually sign with houston.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 4:44 PMak murthy 50% (2)Does anyone think Smith's fg% could improve? His offensive role in houston would be minimized, lessening the negative impact he has on the category. Does anyone think we could see a more vintage Smoove stat line now that he's not running wild in Detroit?
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 4:42 PMak murthy 67% (3)The reports about Houston are coming from Woj, therefore until I hear otherwise it is fact. No one is more reliable and knowledgeable in all of sports journalism.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 4:01 PMAZ18 50% (2)he apparently was trying to find a way to get on the Rockets team. Dwight was his best man at his wedding, he wants to play for a contender. The writing is on the wall, once he clears waivers he will be a Rocket.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 3:39 PMjphanned 100% (1)Difference between biannual exception and veteran's minimum is just $629K. For Smith, who's making $13.5 million already this year, don't imagine that makes a world of difference.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 3:34 PMIndesertum 0% (0)the reason why people say houston has the best chance to land him is because houston has a BAE that i dont think the other interested teams have
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 3:16 PMdunishr 100% (2)This is the NBA, so he'll still get his $27 million (it's all guaranteed). The question will be how much of it the Pistons will be on the hook for.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 3:10 PMjyang61107 0% (1)I'll take any trade rumor with a grain of salt. But it great to smack talk on where he lands. In my opinion he will fit no where and clear waivers. He's not going to get paid 27 million anymore.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 3:07 PMbenron 0% (0)I posted: "Based on reports...." I didn't say anything about it being fact. But I did offer my opinion on how I feel Smith would fit in Houston. It's important that people still do their homework even after reading info on here.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 3:01 PMFisherman805 0% (0)If there's no "orange" under the "User" column next to the comment, you'd better only read it as gossips (this included). These unconfirmed reports, panicked moves (+Smart, -Jones, +Schroder) are what lead people astray. Matt & Justin never puts out anything unconfirmed or unreliable. & Doesn't matter where Smith lands. His % killing cats + TO are always gonna dog him.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 2:36 PMbenron 50% (2)Based on reports, Houston is now the favorite to land him. If I'm an owner of Smith, this is great news and a perfect buy low canidate. Let's not forget that he almost had a 5x5 line not too long ago on a team that he didn't fit on.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 1:09 PMbenron 0% (0)Correction, Smith doesn't play well in a half court offense down low. Big difference. In Houston, the up-tempo offense they play would benfit him greatly and mazimize his ability on offense as a passer and finisher. He would have many more chances for easy buckets down low. Ariza can stay at the 3 spot where he belongs. I don't see how it's now a great fit for both teams. McHale would help JS too.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 1:04 PMmrg12686 50% (2)Except, Smith doesn't play down low. He thinks he is a shooting guard and chucks up a bunch of ill advised shots. They have Ariza, they don't need Josh Smith. They need a floor spacer and they value efficiency. Josh Smith is a horrible fit in real basketball life IMO and I would be shocked if Houston signed him.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 12:55 PMbenron 0% (2)Best case scenerio would be Houston for a number fo reasons. Smith fills a need in Houston at the 4 spot, he would also benefit in theri up-tempo offense, would benefit playing next to Howard down low, and will still produce the defensive stats he's best for. Going to Dallas would really hurt his fantasy value though. He starts in Houston but off the bench in Dallas. I'm rooting for Houston.

FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 11:27 AMjphanned 100% (1)Monroe and Jerebko are your winners here, and this helps Meeks some too. This has nothing to do with KCP.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 11:21 AMbenron 0% (0)No way you cut bait. If he does to the Kings, he will be every bit as productive in teh cats you want him to be in. The only difference I could see is a higher fg% if he's playing the 4 spot next to Cousins. I think it's good for his value that he's out of Detroit. Playing next to Drummond really isn't a good match for Smith. But next to Cousins makes more sense.
FilterJosh Smith12/22/2014 11:20 AMunbigote 0% (1)So... Mark Cuban gonna pick up the tab?

FilterJosh Smith3/8/2013 2:33 PMthatkellenguy 100% (1)Good point. His drop in blocks seems to coincide with his increase in 3s attempted the last few years. He has only broken 2 bpg once since 07-08. 1.6-1.7 is probably more realistic for Smoove.
FilterJosh Smith3/8/2013 1:06 PMmbuser 67% (3)But let's be honest, it's his STL/BLK that pay the bills, and they aren't paying the bills as of late (0.9, 1.4 over his past 25 games).
