Probable Sprained left ankle Open link
Kaman is listed as probable in advance of Game 4 vs. the Grizzlies on Monday due to a left ankle sprain. He sat out of Game 2 with the injury, which he suffered on Tuesday while the Blazers were going through sets, but returned to the lineup to play 17-plus minutes in Saturday's loss. Kaman is still dealing with quite a bit of swelling and discoloration in his ankle, but he should be able to push through it and give it a go again on Monday.

Questionable Sprained left ankle Open link
Kaman said that he plans on playing in Game 3 vs. the Grizzlies on Saturday, although he remains officially questionable. He missed Wednesday's Game 2 loss due with a sprained left ankle, and injury he suffered during Tuesday practice while the Blazers were going through sets. "I was closing out to Meyers and Damian was trying to plant and go up and he stepped on (ankle) and forced it over, basically," said Kaman. He did not take part in Friday practice and reports are that his ankle was still noticeably swollen. "I know once I tape it and get the right drugs in me, everything will be good," said Kaman. We'll look for further updates on his status, and his availability Saturday will affect minutes for Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland in the frontcourt.

Out Sprained left ankle Open link
Kaman has been ruled out for Game 2 vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday due to a sprained left ankle. He suffered the injury during practice Tuesday while the Blazers were going through sets. "I was closing out to Meyers and Damian was trying to plant and go up and he stepped on (ankle) and forced it over, basically," Kaman said. He added that he tried to warm up, but that his ankle, which is noticeably swollen and purple in color, was too painful. Kaman is hopeful that he'll be able to play in Game 3 on Saturday. "I’m for sure going to try to play next game," he said. "I think I’ll be fine. I think I’ve got two more days to recover and get treatments in." Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland will both see additional run in reserve while Kaman is sidelined.
4/18/2015 2:31 PM
Probable Sore lower back Open link
Kaman is officially listed as probable for Game 1 of the playoffs vs. the Grizzlies on Sunday and remains on track to play. He was held out of the Blazers' regular season finale on Wednesday after tweaking his back during a layup attempt in Monday's loss. Kaman didn't immediately leave the game, but was subbed out with under a minute to play in the third quarter and did not return in the fourth, though it appears to have been precautionary. He appears to be good to go and will provide frontcourt depth behind Robin Lopez.
4/15/2015 12:22 PM
Doubtful Sore lower back Open link
Kaman remains officially questionable for Wednesday's regular season finale vs. the Mavericks, but is unlikely to play after tweaking his back during a layup attempt in Monday's loss. He didn't immediately leave the game, but was subbed out with under a minute to play in the third quarter and did not return in the fourth. We'll look for further updates on Kaman's status, and Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland would see extended run in the frontcourt in the likely event that he is held out on Wednesday.

He didn't immediately leave the game, but was subbed out with under a minute to play in the third quarter and did not return in the fourth. We'll look for further updates on Kaman's status, and Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland would see extended run in the frontcourt if he ends up being held out on Wednesday.
4/13/2015 10:19 PM
Questionable Back Open link
Kaman's status for Wednesday's season finale vs. the Mavs is in question after he tweaked his back during a layup attempt during Monday's loss. He didn't immediately leave the game, but was subbed out with under a minute to play in the third quarter and did not return in the fourth. The extent of Kaman's injury is unclear at this point, but the Blazers will have no motivation to push him to play through any kind of significant injury prior to the start of the playoffs. We'll look for further updates on his status, and Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland would see extended run in the frontcourt if this were to cost him additional time.
3/27/2015 2:20 PM
Active Strained right shoulder Open link
Kaman will return to the lineup for Friday's contest vs. the Suns, as expected. He has missed the past three games due to a strained right shoulder, which he suffered during the first half of a March 20 loss. Kaman appears to have recovered from the injury though, and his return to the lineup will cut into the minutes of Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland in the frontcourt.

Probable Strained right shoulder Open link
Kaman has been upgraded to probable for Friday's contest vs. the Suns. He has missed the past three games due to a strained right shoulder, which he suffered during the first half of a March 20 loss. Kaman appears to have recovered from the injury though, and his likely return to the lineup will cut into the minutes of Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland in the frontcourt.
3/25/2015 2:03 PM
Out Strained right shoulder Open link
Kaman has been ruled out for a third straight game on Wednesday vs. the Jazz as he continues to deal with a strained right shoulder. He suffered the injury during the first half of Friday's loss, and said he could barely lift his arm while attempting to shoot a free throw afterwards. Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland will continue to see extended run in the frontcourt for however long Kaman remains sidelined.

Questionable Strained right shoulder Open link
Kaman traveled with the Trail Blazers for the team's two-game road trip after missing Tuesday's loss due to a strained right shoulder, but his playing status for Wednesday's game vs. the Jazz has yet to be determined. He also sat out on Saturday with the injury, which he suffered during the first half of Friday's loss, and said he could barely lift his arm while attempting to shoot a free throw afterwards. Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland will continue to see extended run in the frontcourt for however long Kaman and teammate LaMarcus Aldridge (hand) remain sidelined.
3/24/2015 9:33 PM
Out Strained right shoulder Open link
Kaman has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Warriors, as expected, due to a strained right shoulder. He sat out on Saturday with the injury, which he suffered during the first half of Friday's loss. Kaman could barely lift his arm while attempting to shoot a free throw afterwards, which doesn't bode well for his chances of playing on Wednesday either in the second leg of a back-to-back. Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland will continue to see extended run in the frontcourt for however long he and teammate LaMarcus Aldridge (hand) remain sidelined.
3/24/2015 7:51 PM
Doubtful Strained right shoulder Open link
Kaman remains doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. the Warriors and "most likely" will not play, according to coach Terry Stotts, due to a strained right shoulder.

Out Strained right shoulder Open link
Kaman has been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. the Grizzlies due to his strained right shoulder. He didn't return for the second half of Friday's loss and said he could barely lift his arm while attempting to shoot a free throw during the first half, but he remains unsure how he suffered the injury. Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland will see the reserve frontcourt minutes for the Blazers on Saturday with Kaman unavailable.

Out Strained right shoulder Open link
Kaman won't return for the second half of Friday's game vs. the Magic due to a strained right shoulder. It's unclear at this point how he suffered the injury, but he played nine minutes in the first half before being declared out at halftime. We'll look for further updates on Kaman's status, with Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland to see additional run in the frontcourt in his absence.
2/18/2015 8:58 PM
Active Sprained right ankle Open link
Kaman was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and is expected to play on Friday vs. the Jazz. He sat out of last Wednesday's win due to a right ankle sprain, and was also dealing with back soreness before that. Kaman looks to be good to go now after extended time off during the All-Star break, and his return will push Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson into more limited reserve roles.
2/10/2015 5:07 PM
Out Sprained right ankle Open link
Kaman has been ruled out in advance of Wednesday's game vs. the Lakers due to a right ankle sprain. He's been a bit banged up lately, having also been limited by soreness in his back over the past week. Kaman will get a chance for extended rest through the All-Star break, with Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson to see the additional run in the frontcourt on Wednesday.
2/7/2015 6:37 PM
Active Lower back pain Open link
Kaman went through his pregame shooting routine with no issues and will be active for Saturday's game vs. the Mavericks. He was a late scratch for Thursday's loss to the Suns due to lower back pain, and his return will take back minutes in the frontcourt from Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson.
2/7/2015 5:57 PM
Probable Lower back pain Open link
Kaman is going through his pregame shooting routine and said he expects to play on Saturday vs. the Mavs despite dealing with lower back pain. He was a late scratch for Thursday's loss to the Suns due to the injury, and his likely return will take back minutes in the frontcourt from Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson.
2/6/2015 3:33 PM
Questionable Lower back pain Open link
Kaman is listed as questionable in advance of Saturday's game vs. the Mavericks due to lower back pain. He was a late scratch for Thursday's loss to the Suns due to the injury, and Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson would continue to see the additional run in the frontcourt for the Blazers if this does require him to miss more time.
2/5/2015 8:33 PM
Out Lower back pain Open link
Kaman has been ruled out for Thursday's game vs. the Suns due to lower back pain. This one came out of nowhere, and we'll continue to keep an eye on his status moving forward. Kaman's absence will open up more reserve minutes in the frontcourt for Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson with Joel Freeland (shoulder) still sidelined.
1/24/2015 7:25 PM
Active Left leg contusion Open link
Kaman will play on Saturday vs. the Wizards despite being listed as questionable heading in due to a left leg contusion. He sustained the injury when he took a knee to the left thigh during Thursday's loss to the Celtics, and he also said Friday that he's been dealing with a sore Achilles for the last week. Kaman will continue to start at center alongside LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) in the frontcourt.
1/23/2015 3:54 PM
Questionable Left leg contusion Open link
Kaman is listed as questionable in advance of Saturday's game vs. the Wizards due to a left leg contusion. He sustained the injury when he took a knee to the left thigh during Thursday's loss to the Celtics, and he also said Friday that he's been dealing with a sore Achilles for the last week. The Blazers would be desperately thin in the frontcourt if Kaman were to need to miss any time, with Meyers Leonard, Dorell Wright, Thomas Robinson, and Victor Claver as the only remaining options for minutes.
12/28/2014 6:22 PM
Active Personal Open link
Kaman will be active for Sunday's game vs. the Knicks after missing Friday's game due to the birth of his child. LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) has been ruled for Sunday out due to illness, meaning that Kaman is in line for a few extra minutes in the frontcourt vs. the Knicks, along with Meyers Leonard, Thomas Robinson, and Joel Freeland.
12/27/2014 3:25 PM
Questionable Personal Open link
Kaman missed Friday's game after his wife went into labor, and she delivered their son on Saturday morning. Kaman was obviously away from the team while they practiced on Saturday, but coach Terry Stotts said he's hopeful that Kaman will play on Sunday vs. the Knicks. LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) is doubtful to play, meaning that Kaman would be in line for a few extra minutes in the frontcourt if he were available, along with Meyers Leonard, Thomas Robinson, and Joel Freeland.
12/26/2014 7:20 PM
Out Personal Open link
Kaman won't play on Friday vs. the Sixers as his wife recently went into labor and he is with her for the birth of their son. The Blazers will be extremely shorthanded in the frontcourt on Friday with LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) also ruled out, so the majority of the frontcourt minutes will go to Joel Freeland, Thomas Robinson, and Meyers Leonard.
