Out for season Right knee surgery Open link
Coach Scott Brooks said Sunday that Ibaka has been officially ruled out for the rest of the regular season after undergoing surgery on March 17 to help eliminate persistent soreness in his right knee. This doesn't come as a surprise given Brooks had said on Wednesday that he wasn't close to a return. Ibaka is currently four weeks into an initial four-to-six week timetable. He began experiencing discomfort in his knee in late February, and various treatment options were unsuccessful in alleviating swelling and soreness. An MRI on Ibaka's knee revealed no structural damage, though it was determined after a consultation with a specialist that an arthroscopic procedure to clean out his knee would be the best option. Enes Kanter, Steven Adams, Mitch McGary, and Nick Collison will continue to see extended run in the frontcourt moving forward in his absence.

Coach Scott Brooks said Wednesday that Ibaka isn't close to a return after undergoing surgery on March 17 to help eliminate persistent soreness in his right knee. Ibaka is currently three weeks into an initial four-to-six week timetable, and given the recent update, it appears that he'll almost certainly return on the longer end of that range. The expectation remains that he'll be out for the rest of the regular season. Ibaka said Saturday that he hopes to return from his right knee surgery in three-to-four weeks, not the four-to-six weeks that was given as an initial timetable. He underwent surgery on Tuesday, with April 14 marking exactly four weeks, so he'd still miss the bulk of the regular season even in a best-case scenario. Ibaka will miss four-to-six weeks after undergoing surgery on Tuesday to help eliminate persistent soreness in his right knee. That timetable effectively ends his regular season, and it remains unclear at this point when he'll be able to return to game action. An MRI on his knee revealed no structural damage, though it was determined after a consultation with a specialist on Tuesday that an arthroscopic procedure to clean out his knee would be the best option. The eventual return of Kevin Durant (foot) will help the Thunder fill in for Ibaka's absence, and the team will also rely more on Enes Kanter, Steven Adams, and Mitch McGary to take on bigger roles the rest of the way.

Mitch McGary, Nick Collison, Steven Adams, and Enes Kanter will continue to see additional run in the frontcourt in his absence on Sunday.

Out Right knee soreness Open link
Ibaka has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. the Wolves due to right knee soreness. This one came out of nowhere as there were no previous reports of an injury coming in. Ibaka is considered day-to-day, and the soreness appears to be minor and could be related to the Thunder coming as a huge favorites against a weak Wolves side. Mitch McGary will start in his place, with Nick Collison, Steven Adams, and Enes Kanter all seeing additional run in the frontcourt as well.

Probable Sprained left ankle Open link
Ibaka will make his preseason debut on Friday after missing the Thunder's first four games due to a left ankle sprain. He's practiced fully all week, although the team took the cautious route and held him out of game action. He's expected to see 15-to-20 minutes of playing time vs. the Raptors.

Questionable Sprained left ankle Open link
Ibaka will sit out Tuesday's preseason game as a precaution as he continues to make his way back from a sprained left ankle. He practiced fully on Monday and "looked good" according to coach Scott Brooks, so he's definitely very close to a return. The Thunder have continued to take a very cautious approach with Ibaka as they have very little reason to risk the sprain getting worse, especially with Kevin Durant sidelined for an extended period of time. Ibaka looks to be a full go, and this ankle sprain shouldn't affect his availability for the season opener in any way.
