Out for season Torn left Achilles Open link
Matthews appears to be ahead of schedule in his rehab from a torn left Achilles and is scheduled to be out of a walking boot on Tuesday. "Coming off on Tuesday, that's the plan," he said. "It's ahead of schedule, and I'm excited for that, definitely." Matthews underwent surgery for the injury in mid-March, after which he said he expected to return to basketball activities in five months, despite a typical recovery taking as long as eight-to-12 months. His status for the start of next season remains in question, despite his optimism, and we'll continue to update his status further as information allows over the course of the off-season.

Out for season Torn left Achilles Open link
Matthews underwent surgery Wednesday to repair his torn left Achilles tendon and will miss the remainder of the season. He suffered the injury this past Thursday on a non-contact play as he planted his leg after catching a pass. Matthews immediately fell to the ground in pain and was helped off the court, not putting any pressure on his left leg. He was seen in a wheelchair afterwards and an MRI confirmed the diagnosis. The Blazers will look to Arron Afflalo and CJ McCollum to fill in for Matthews on the wing moving forward.

Out for season Torn left Achilles Open link
Matthews will miss the rest of the season with a torn left Achilles tendon, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. This was the initial fear as he went down early in the third quarter of Thursday's win with a non-contact injury as he planted his leg after catching a pass. Matthews immediately fell to the ground in pain and was helped off the court, not putting any pressure on his left leg. He was seen in a wheelchair afterwards and an MRI confirmed the diagnosis. The Blazers will now look to Arron Afflalo and Alonzo Gee to fill in for Matthews on the wing moving forward.

Active Rib pain Open link
Matthews had to go the emergency room Wednesday night as he was experiencing pain in his ribs, but is fine now and will play on Friday vs. the Spurs. We'll continue to keep an eye on his status just in case though. Matthews took a shot to the ribs during Wednesday's loss after a collision with Chris Paul and was in visible pain and discomfort afterwards.

Active Hyperextended left knee Open link
Matthews is active and in the starting lineup for Thursday's game vs. the Heat, and will play with a brace for his hyperextended left knee. He suffered the injury when he stepped on a Lakers player's foot during Monday's win. It looked serious at the time as Matthews was not putting weight on it while being helped off the court, but he quickly returned to the game and showed no ill effects with the team saying he had "no injury." It looks like this won't cost him any time moving forward.

Probable Hyperextended left knee Open link
Coach Terry Stotts said that Matthews will "most likely" play in Thursday's game vs. the Heat, despite his hyperextended left knee. Matthews suffered the injury when he stepped on a Lakers player's foot during Monday's win. It looked serious at the time as he was not putting weight on it while being helped off the court, but he quickly returned to the game and showed no ill effects with the team saying he had "no injury." Matthews didn't practice Wednesday but looks like he'll be a go, although final confirmation won't come until after the team goes through warmups.

Questionable Hyperextended left knee Open link
Matthews is questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Heat due to his hyperextended left knee. He did not practice on Wednesday and was seen with a brace on his knee. Matthews suffered the injury when he stepped on a Lakers player's foot during Monday's win, and it looked serious at the time, as he was not putting weight on it as he was helped off the court. But he quickly returned to the game, showing no ill effects and with the team saying he had "no injury." Matthews said after the game that he hyperextended it, and he'll get more treatment and will likely have his status determined after Thursday's shootaround. CJ McCollum and Allen Crabbe would see additional run on the wing if Matthews were to miss any time.

Active Hyperextended left knee Open link
Matthews returned to Monday's game vs. the Lakers shortly after he had to be helped to the locker room following what appeared to be an injury to his left knee. His knee locked when he stepped on a Lakers player's foot, and he was not putting weight on it as he was assisted by Thomas Robinson and a Blazers trainer, but he showed no ill effects after he returned and the team said he has "no injury." Matthews said after the game that he hyperextended it but doesn't expect to miss any time, with the Blazers off until Thursday.

Probable Irregular heartbeat Open link
Matthews scrimmaged with the team during Saturday's practice and participated in "almost everything" according to coach Terry Stotts. He's still a bit limited and not a full-go yet, but this is a positive sign that he's getting over his earlier issues related to an irregular heartbeat. He took part in some drills and light on-court work during the Blazers' practice on Friday. Matthews' previously stated goal was to play in Sunday's Fan Fest, and it appears that he's on track to do so.

Injured Irregular heartbeat Open link
Matthews was back on the court on Friday, taking part in some drills and light on-court work during Blazers' practice. Matthews' aim is to return to full basketball activities quickly, saying that "the goal" is to play in Sunday's Fan Fest. "We were hoping that it wasn't too much and that's what it turned out to be," said coach Terry Stotts. Stotts added that Matthews playing as soon as Sunday "might be a little optimistic, but basically that's the doctor’s decision."

Injured Irregular heartbeat Open link
Matthews revealed that he's been missing practice because of an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation). It has since corrected itself, and further testing revealed that it's not serious. Matthews experienced the same issue last year, but unlike last year, it corrected itself this time which is encouraging. He says he will "ease back into it" and hopes to be back on the court in the near future.
