Out Rest Open link
Dragic and teammates Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng, and Hassan Whiteside will all be held out of Wednesday's season finale vs. the Sixers for the purposes of rest. This doesn't come as a surprise given the Heat have been officially eliminated from playoff contention and a loss on Wednesday will mean that they will be able to keep their first-round draft pick. Zoran Dragic, Tyler Johnson, James Ennis, Henry Walker, and Michael Beasley will all see heavy run on Wednesday in their absences.

Active Lower back contusion Open link
Dragic will start on Wednesday vs. the Nets, as expected, after missing the past two games due to a lower back contusion, which he suffered during a hard fall to the court towards the end of Friday's loss. “It’s getting better," he said. "Today I practiced and I feel great. For sure today, it’s a go. I’m happy to be back helping the team.” Dragic had already been dealing with back spasms in addition to soreness in his right shoulder prior to sustaining the contusion, so it looks like the time off served its purpose. His return will push Shabazz Napier back out of the rotation and Mario Chalmers to a more limited reserve role.

Questionable Lower back contusion Open link
Dragic said Tuesday that there is a 75 percent chance that he'll be able to play on Wednesday vs. the Nets. He has missed the past two games due to a lower back contusion, which he suffered during a hard fall to the court towards the end of Friday's loss. "When I move laterally, it's like someone put a knife [in it]," he had said on Friday. Dragic had already been dealing with back spasms for the past week, in addition to soreness in his right shoulder. Coach Erik Spoelstra said Dragic was able to do a little bit more in the team's Tuesday practice. "He feels better," Spoelstra said. We'll continue to update his status as needed, and Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier would continue to handle the point guard duties for the Heat if he has to miss more time.

Dragic has been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. the Kings due to a lower back contusion. "When I move laterally, it's like someone put a knife [in it]," he said. Dragic left Friday's loss and did not return after a hard fall to the court where he bruised his tailbone. He had already been dealing with back spasms for the past week, in addition to soreness in his right shoulder, so his absence was to be expected. "Everything hurts," Dragic added on Friday. Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier will handle the point guard duties for the Heat in his place on Saturday.

Questionable Bruised tailbone Open link
Dragic's status for Saturday's game vs. the Kings is uncertain after he left Friday's game and did not return due to a bruised tailbone. He suffered the injury during a hard fall to the court. "My back just locked up and I couldn’t move," said Dragic. "We’ll see about [Saturday]." Dragic had already been dealing with back spasms for the past week, in addition to soreness in his right shoulder, so he appears to be highly questionable at this point. "Everything hurts," Dragic added. Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier would see the run at point guard for the Heat if Dragic does end up missing any time.

Out Lower back contusion Open link
Dragic won't return to Friday's game after suffering a bruised lower back during a hard fall early in the fourth quarter. He had been dealing with back spasms for much of the past week, so the fall undoubtedly aggravated the injury. We'll look for further updates on Dragic's status following the game, and Shabazz Napier and Mario Chalmers will see the run at point guard for the Heat the rest of the way.

He is still dealing with the effects from his recent bout of back spasms, which he said would've sidelined on Monday against any other team than the Suns. Dragic also tweaked his right shoulder following a hard foul from Markieff Morris, which earned Morris a flagrant 2 as well as an ejection. Teammate Tyler Johnson (ankle) will also be available.
