Turf Toe = MTP joint sprain. So my guess is not too long. I can't seem to find any news on Jrue undergoing any imaging (MRI/XR), so that's a good sign.

Another injury. REALLY??? I wonder who has doomed my team (Covington, DLo, Noel, Jrue, Nurkic, George Hill). To think that Kobe Bryant once played with his fingers taped, had a torn Achilles yet walked to the charity lane, Allen Iverson played with so many minor injuries, makes me believe that the NBA technical teams are just being way over zealous. Bah!

Alright Gentry. You've had your fun continuing to start Frazier over Holiday and you're now on a 2 game losing streak (at least 1 of which you shouldn't have lost). I think it's time do the sensible thing and start Holiday now.

I read through a couple times..and I think this is went Gentry meant: 1. Jrue is currently on a minutes limit (high 20s) 2. There are 48 minutes in a basketball game. However, if he doesn't start, there are only 36 minutes in which he can play in. Here is the key: 3. Therefore, if he doesn't start, he doesn't need to have that period of time during the game where he starts, and sits after a short break, then plays again. Since he doesn't start, he will come off the bench and have less overall "resting time in between shifts" while still playing the same amount of minutes. And as we all learned from Jason Kidd, it's better for someone to have less resting time in between shifts, otherwise it will mess your playing time up.

As I owner who drafted Jrue, I of course would love to see him start. However, the way the team has been playing with him coming off the bench, I understand to Coaching staff not wanting to mess the chemistry. It will take the Pelicans a few losses for them to reconsider it, which I think (hope) will happen soon enough. That Quote from Gentry didnt make no sense tho...

I would love to be an NBA head coach and just troll people in interview answers with stuff that sounds smart but actually a bunch of gibberish. "Jrue's been adjusting but he's out there you know, playing wise, the fans has been wonderful and we don't want to mess up our chemistry now since as you can see in this game the intangibles he brings and the shots he can make proves that he's invaluable to our team."

I agree on his leg. They took it slow with him all season last year despite him having no issues at all and I believe the problem could be fixed. It's also known as the anti-Wizards, where you play a guy with stress reactions 40 minutes on back to backs, just because.
19.2d
jbs5635
100% (1) agree
Huge majority of time missed was due to stress reaction/stress fracture reoccurrences. He now has a steel rod in his leg and once they ramped his min up last year he had no issues...obviously great sign and maybe it helped to solve the problem...so to speak. Obviously still some risk but based on that info there is certainly more optimism, at least for me, about him staying healthy. Dude is a baller and he took his offensive game to another level last year. Hope he stays on the court.

Jester why can't you use your discretion? He was out due to his wife's health condition and it's just a best-guess scenario as to when he'll be back. Jrue's a professional baller and one would guess he goes back to his job as soon as his wife begins to recover. Surgery just took place and one would guess 1 to 2 months (max) he'll be away which is the Dec time frame. Don't blame the GPS if you drive off into the river.

His games played went from a projected 47 to a projected 69. Is this based on the fact the surgery went well or has there been any extra info circulated recently? And coming back on 12/15/16 still has him missing about 29-30 games. Just trying to plan accordingly here.
