Out for season Right foot Open link
Randle met with doctors on Sunday and has been cleared to begin on-court basketball activity although he hasn't been cleared for any contact work. He's still expected to miss the remainder of the season, but it's a positive sign as he works his way back from surgery in January to replace a screw in the fifth metatarsal of his right foot. The procedure was related to an injury that he suffered back in high school that hurt his stock heading into the 2014 NBA Draft, but separate from his surgery in late October that he had to repair a broken right tibia. Randle said Monday that he feels strong and has no pain in his foot or leg. The current plan is for him to take part in Summer League play and return to the Lakers' active roster for the 2015-16 season.

Out for season Right foot Open link
The Lakers announced that Randle will undergo surgery on Tuesday morning to replace the screw in the fifth metatarsal of his right foot. This is related to the injury that he suffered back in high school that hurt his stock heading into the 2014 NBA Draft, and separate from his earlier surgery in late October that he had to repair his broken right tibia. Randle is expected to make a full recovery and will remain sidelined for the rest of the 2014-15 season. Ed Davis, Carlos Boozer, Jordan Hill, Ryan Kelly, Robert Sacre, and Tarik Black will continue to handle the majority of the frontcourt minutes in his absence.

Injured Fractured right tibia Open link
Randle underwent successful surgery on Wednesday morning to repair his broken right tibia and is expected to make a full recovery. A typical timeline for a return from this type of injury and procedure can be in the four-to-six month range, and Randle has been declared out for the 2014-15 season. Ed Davis, Robert Sacre, and Ryan Kelly (when healthy) will step into more minutes with Randle out of the rotation, with starters Carlos Boozer and Jordan Hill also expected to see their workloads increase.

Injured Fractured right tibia Open link
Randle had to be removed from the court late in Tuesday's game via a stretcher after suffering a severe leg injury on a non-contact play. His right leg gave way as he planted on a drive, and he was in enough pain that it had to be immobilized before he could be placed on the stretcher. He's been diagnosed with a broken tibia, which could present a four-to-six month recovery timeline and would almost certainly end his season. Ed Davis, Robert Sacre, and Ryan Kelly (when healthy) will step into more minutes with Randle out of the rotation, and we'll look for more specific updates on Randle's status as they emerge.
