CLE played good defense. It was packed inside and Giannis looked tentative driving into it and shied away from taking jumpers too. Middleton being out didn't help.

@Keno- Disregard, it's that annoying multi tab problem. When you open a new tab then go back to your first tab to post a comment and it posts on the wrong players page instead, even though it appears your on the players page you want to comment on.

I got the flu Sunday and it put me in bed for 24 straight hours and still have on and off fever 50 hours later. As luck would have it my 2 best players got it Giannis and Butler. This was a week I was going to dominate with all the Bulls games. If these guys had the same flu I had i can't imagine coming back within a few days. Of course all flus are not the same. Plus they attach the flu like symptoms tag to everything. There is no mistaking the flu

joshlloyd48
The flu shot only covers the flu. It does nothing for gastroenteritis, sinus infections, bacterial lung issues, the common cold etc. I would be shocked if they didn't all get the flu shot. If you get the actual flu, you are bedridden for weeks usually.

All these players getting sick these days. I blame all the hugs they give each other. Back in my day, you never hugged your opponent, you wanted to kill them. Today's game is too soft, everyone trying to be friends and now they are too soft to have a decent immune system. /s

The plan was for him to start and keep playing if he went well. He came out early in the first quarter not feeling well. He gave it another try in the second quarter but just couldn't get past the flu bug that's been sweeping the league

I actually think Middleton would actually help Giannis's PTS and AST because teams will be forced to respect Middleton's shot keeping the lane less clogged. Gianni's will score easier rather then settle for jump shots because he amazing ability to penetrate.

Giannis has not gotten much help this year from teammates. Middleton's injury was really bad so I'd be surprised if he makes an impact on Giannis this year at all, but a healthy Middleton is probably 2 less pts but 1 more ast I imagine, maintaining top 3 value.
181.7d
Thrillard45
Hmm not entirely true.. Giannis averaged 27 ppg last year in games where Middleton was out, and 17 ppg in games where Middleton played. Granted, it wasn't a huge sample size since Middleton wasn't out much. And Giannis has come a long way since then. But the scoring's gotta take a hit, no? Middleton took 14 shots a game

he is averaging 2+ stls and blks per game right now. i would normally say that is unsustainable but with giannis it may just be, though id expect a little regression at some point. his ast could go up more too with defenses adjusting their strategy against him as season goes on. may lead to a drop in efficiency/scoring or more FT etc.

I ended up in a re-draft draft him at 6, then Unicorn in the 2nd, Dipo in the 3rd, Drummond in the 4th, led me to a light punt of FT's & apg... so I stocked up on 3's, points, blocks, steals, FG%... guys like AB, Fournier, Dwight, J-Rich, G-Harris, Mirotic, adding Wilson Chandler and James Johnson via FA... While apg are one of G's strengths, his other stats make for a hell of a punt assists build since he's listed as a PG in Yahoo.

Can we brainstorm a little bit on how to build a team around Giannis? Is anybody else finding it a slippery exercise to accommodate and maximize value around his unbelievably innumerable strengths? A strict punt-3's structure seems to most definitely enrich the Buck. However, I have paired him with Porzingis (1st round: Giannis; 2nd round: Kristaps). The Unicorn is similar to Giannis in many ways, but especially in the sense that their respective ceilings seem to rest in the stratosphere (Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Karl-Anthony Towns, Boogie and others could all be invoked similarly, per the stretched front-court.) How might we be able to anchor these sorts of ever-shifting talents with various sorts of steady production. Is a strategy of grouping Antetokounmpo with other various "high upside" players a viable one? Mr. Blake Griffin seems to be a rather impactful punch next to Giannis. Please, share your wild experiences in Milwaukee.

I think is some cause for concern, but I'm not reading too much into preseason and I still have confidence in picking him at the end of the first round.

I'm getting worried about picking him ahead of Lebron, Whiteside and Paul George given how he has played in the preseason. Am I looking too much into the pre season stats? Meanwhile Whiteside playing like a monster. Should we be worried about Giannis?
