Suspended One-game suspension Open link
Harden has been suspended for one game by the league for kicking LeBron James in the groin during Sunday's win. He will serve his suspension on Tuesday vs. the Hawks, which will be the first game he's missed this season. Harden was initially assessed a flagrant foul 1, which has since been upgraded to a flagrant foul 2. Dwyane Wade was suspended for the exact same offense back in Dec. 12, so this was to be expected. Jason Terry, Corey Brewer, KJ McDaniels, and possibly Nick Johnson will see additional run on the wing Wednesday in Harden's absence.
3/2/2015 2:31 PM
Probable Bruised left shoulder Open link
Harden is considered probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Hawks due to a bruised left shoulder. He was seen flexing his shoulder at the conclusion of Sunday's win, but didn't seem concerned about it at the time. "I'm alright," said Harden. "I'm a warrior." This is likely to be a procedural move, and Harden isn't expected to miss any time due to the shoulder at this point. His status for Tuesday could be affected, however, if the league chooses to punish him for kicking LeBron James, a play which earned him a flagrant foul during Sunday's game.

Active Sprained right ankle Open link
Harden will start on Friday vs. the Nets, as expected. McHale has no plans to limit Harden's minutes, but will keep an eye on his sprained right ankle and make adjustments if he shows signs of pain. Harden tweaked his ankle during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's win when he stepped on Chris Paul's foot while going up for a layup attempt. He was able to stay in the game, and it appears to be a minor injury that shouldn't cost him any further time.

Probable Sprained right ankle Open link
Coach Kevin McHale said Harden is expected to start on Friday vs. the Nets barring an unforeseen setback.

Questionable Sprained right ankle Open link
Harden participated in shootaround and remains questionable for Friday's game vs. the Nets due to a sprained right ankle. He suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's win when he stepped on Chris Paul's foot while going up for a layup attempt. Harden was able to stay in the game but will go through pre-game warmups first to see how it reacts before making a determination on his status. We'll continue to provide updates as needed, and it would be Corey Brewer, KJ McDaniels, and Jason Terry seeing additional run at shooting guard if he has to miss any time.

Questionable Sprained right ankle Open link
Harden sat out practice on Thursday and is listed as questionable in advance of Friday's game vs. the Nets due to a sprained right ankle. He suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's win when he stepped on Chris Paul's foot while going up for a layup attempt. Harden was able to stay in the game but will need to see how it reacts over the next few days before his status for Friday can be established. "He’s swollen today and he’s sore today (Thursday),” coach Kevin McHale said. “I’ll see how he feels. He didn’t do anything today. He just iced it. We’ll see what 24 hours does." We'll continue to update Harden's status as needed, and it would be Corey Brewer, KJ McDaniels, and Jason Terry seeing additional run at shooting guard if he has to miss any time.
2/25/2015 10:53 PM
Probable Right ankle Open link
Harden suffered a right ankle injury during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's win when he stepped on Chris Paul's foot while going up for a layup attempt. He was able to stay in the game but will need to see how it reacts over the next few days before his status for Friday's game vs. the Nets can be established. "It's pretty sore right now, but get some rest tonight, ice it and get some rest tomorrow and hopefully be ready to go Friday," said Harden. We'll call him probable for now and look for further updates, and it would be Corey Brewer, KJ McDaniels, and Jason Terry to see additional run at shooting guard if Harden were to be forced to miss any time.

Active Bruised left knee Open link
Harden is active and in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game vs. the Bulls, as expected. He suffered a bruised left knee during Saturday's loss but practiced on Tuesday and was considered probable heading in. "I felt pretty good after a couple days of rest and treatment, icing really helped out so I should be ready for [Wednesday]," Harden had said. He appeared to have bumped knees with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope on Saturday, and was down on the court for a while in obvious discomfort before eventually limping to the locker room. Harden returned shortly after to start the second half. "Knee-on-knee, right on the bone," Harden said afterwards. "I couldn’t feel my leg. It was numb. I was just hoping it wasn’t as bad as it felt."

Teammate Terrence Jones (nerve inflammation) is also considered probable.

He appeared to have bumped knees with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and was down on the court for a while in obvious discomfort before eventually limping to the locker room. "Knee-on-knee, right on the bone," Harden said afterwards. "I couldn’t feel my leg. It was numb. I was just hoping it wasn’t as bad as it felt." Active Strained left hamstring Open link
Harden is active for Monday's game vs. the Blazers, as expected, after being listed as probable due to a strained left hamstring. He left Saturday's loss briefly after tweaking his hamstring, but returned from the locker room shortly after and played without issue the rest of the way, and he's good to go for Monday's game.
12/21/2014 1:46 PM
Probable Strained left hamstring Open link
Harden is considered probable in advance of Monday's game vs. the Blazers due to a strained left hamstring. He left Saturday's loss briefly after tweaking his hamstring, but returned from the locker room shortly after and played without issue the rest of the way. It's highly unlikely he'll have to miss any time unless he suffers an unforeseen setback.
12/20/2014 7:52 PM
Active Strained left hamstring Open link
Harden left Saturday's game after the first quarter due to a strained left hamstring and was initially called doubtful to return, but returned from the locker room shortly after and checked back in. We'll keep an eye on his status, but Harden appears to be good to go for now.
12/10/2014 2:04 PM
Active Back spasms Open link
Harden went through shootaround, and though he still has some slight pain as a result of his ongoing bout of back spasms, he will play on Wednesday vs. the Warriors. He was seen laboring through much of Saturday's win over the Suns, where he played 39 minutes in the second leg of a back-to-back. Harden has received treatment over the past couple days and looks to be good enough to play through a bit of tightness and pain.

Questionable Back spasms Open link
Harden went through most of the Rockets' Tuesday practice but is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Warriors due to back spasms. He was seen laboring through much of Saturday's win over the Suns, during which he played 39 minutes as the second of a back-to-back, but said after the game that he would get some treatment and be fine. As of Tuesday, Harden said that his back is "still a little tight, but getting better every day," and he won't be able to make a final determination of his status before he sees how he feels on Wednesday. Jason Terry, Nick Johnson, and Troy Daniels would be pressed into duty at shooting guard if Harden were to be forced to miss any time.
10/19/2014 5:42 PM
Probable Sore left hip Open link
Harden will return to the lineup for Sunday's preseason game after taking some time off to rest his sore left hip. Coach Kevin McHale said he expects Harden to get a "good run" in, which makes sense given he hasn't seen game action in some time. Harden played in two games after suffering the hip injury with no signs of being slowed down, so his sitting out until now was more precautionary than anything. He should be a full go for the season opener.
10/13/2014 11:36 AM
Questionable Sore left hip Open link
Harden will sit out Monday's preseason game to rest his sore left hip. He said that his hip still "stings" but says he's not really limited. This is more of a routine preseason night off than anything, especially when you consider he's played in two games since suffering the injury with no signs of being slowed down, and shouldn't affect Harden's status for the season opener as he continues to err on the side of caution and not risk any sort of further injury.
